Question
Did any Enron employee raise internal warnings about the company’s accounting practices before the collapse?
Answer
Yes. Several employees, including senior ones, raised warnings about accounting, financial reporting, and partnership structures directly to top executives such as Ken Lay before the collapse.

What the walkthrough shows.
Four parts, in the order they play. If you’d rather read than watch, this is what’s on screen.
Part 1: The production goes in.
The production is uploaded to the case as a ZIP. As it processes, Legati reads every page of its PDFs, scans, Word files and email.
Part 2: An entry for every document.
The index fills in as the documents process: an abstract of every document, like a paralegal who never sleeps. Sorted by date, the index is the full timeline of your case. Export it to Excel.
Part 3: A question, answered with Bates citations.
Deep Search is asked whether any Enron employee raised internal warnings about the company’s accounting before the collapse. The answer cites the Bates pages behind it. Open them in Fig. 1 and check the answer yourself.
Part 4: Review, then a Bates-stamped production.
When it’s your turn to produce, each document gets a PRE-Bates number, a working number until your final Bates prefix goes on, and an Include, Exclude or Privilege call. The production comes out as an organized ZIP: Bates-stamped files, a production index and a draft privilege log in Excel.
It runs on public data, with a question we chose. A live demo runs on documents you know, so you can judge the answers yourself.
Questions after the walkthrough.
Anything not answered here, ask in the 30 minutes.
You don’t have to take the AI’s word for it. Answers about your documents cite the page, and one click opens it. The document list under each answer holds only documents the search actually found.
Rely on the page, not the AI. It does the first pass. You do the lawyering.
Work from the page count. A 2,000-page production runs about $10 in AI processing; 10,000 pages, about $50; 50,000 pages, about $250.
The app shows an estimate before processing starts, and every charge is itemized by case, so you can pass it through to the matter under your engagement letter.
Hosting at our cloud cost: $0.024 per GB a month. AI search, recordings and phone extractions are billed as you use them. We’ll walk you through the rates on the call.
The subscription is separate: $200 a month per attorney, paralegal included. Unlimited cases. Month to month. No long-term contract.
Yes. The walkthrough runs on the Enron email corpus (public data): real email from a real company. The case caption on screen is a made-up label for the demo, not a real case.
For your demo, bring a production you already know, or we can use the same public set.
Legati watches the video, not just the audio. Key moments and on-screen events are indexed, so you can search for what appears, not only what is said. Each recording is transcribed with its speakers labeled, and a click jumps playback to that second.
Phone extractions, searchable with everything else. Upload the Cellebrite UFDR file and the messages, call logs and media join the case’s index, with no separate reader app to wait on.
As the production processes, Legati reads every page of your PDFs, scans, Word files and email and writes an index entry for each document, so you can see what it read.
When you need every mention of a name or phrase, ask for exactly that: Legati runs a full-text search of the whole case and its index entries, and past 500 matching documents it hands you the list in Excel.
A file that fails to process appears on the case’s Failed Documents list with the reason, so you can retry it or open the original. It’s a first pass. You still read what matters.
No tool meets those duties for you. Whether Legati’s safeguards are reasonable for a matter is your judgment.
The security page answers the questions ABA Model Rule 1.6(c) and Formal Opinion 512 raise, point by point: who can open a case, where documents are stored, which outside companies handle them, and whether anyone trains AI on them.
No. A chat window starts from your question. Legati starts from the record: it reads every page as the production processes, writes an index entry for every document, and plans each search from that index.
It also does the discovery work around the search: Bates numbering, duplicate detection, Include, Exclude and Privilege review, burned-in redactions, a drafted privilege log and Bates-stamped productions.
In any matter, who knew what and when is the disputed part. Legati gives you the record, cited to the page, and the conclusions are yours.
Use it yourself. No IT department, no installation, no training course.
Legati runs in the browser: create a case, upload the production, and Legati reads every page. We’ll bring lunch for a 30-minute demo or hop on Zoom.

- AI training
- Legati never trains AI models on your documents, and our agreements with our AI providers bar them from training on your data.
- Storage
- Your documents are stored in U.S. data centers. AES-256 encryption at rest. TLS 1.2 in transit.
- Access
- Each case is visible only to its owner, the paralegals they authorize, and people they explicitly share it with. Legati staff access content only with your permission, for support.
- Malware
- Every upload is scanned for malware before it’s processed; flagged files are quarantined.
- Deletion
- You can delete a case and its documents at any time.
